"It's A Lovely Day... Hey, Hey"


I've been singing this song to the babies 
at our child care center for two years now

and although

the days
the kids
the location

keeps changing... 

the song remains the same

And this morning when I woke up singing it again
I decided to share it here today

So let it lift you
(because after all)

"It's a lovely day... hey, hey"

      Yay, Carolina! Thanks for singing along with me! It is such a catchy little tune, but unfortunately I was unable to record my absolute favorite part (because I do not have authorization to film the children). One of the babies (he's 18 months)sings the "la la la" part really loudly when I get to it and it makes my day every time! It's an amazing experience and I always feel that God is smiling on us in that moment.

    It IS a lovely day, Tondra! Although pain kept me awake all night, it did allow me to see a wondrous sunrise, the sun rising orange through a skein of clouds and rain, spreading its rays across the sky.

    #2 at FMF this week.

      Andrew, it sounds like I just heard you say that... "weeping may endure for the night, but joy comes in the morning". It is beautiful how you see the beauty and grace around you even as you journey through the storm.
